A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort

627 A GA MING DRIVE, KEWADIN, MI

Just north of Traverse City, Michigan, A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort’s main location is nestled overlooking the shores of Torch Lake. Featuring resort anchors courses of Sundance Course and Torch Course, A-Ga-Ming’s golf portfolio also comprises Antrim Dells and Charlevoix Country Club to offer a 72-hole golf resort near both Torch Lake and Lake Michigan.

The Torch Course, A-Ga-Ming’s original design, winds through the bluffs on the west side of Torch Lake. Playing at 6,700 yards from the back tees, the course is playable from there and the tees ahead giving each player plenty of options. Joining Torch Course in 2005, Sundance Course presents an open layout carved through the bluffs between Torch Lake and Grand Traverse Bay.  Co-owners Mike Brown and Larry Lavely are dedicated to the careful stewardship of the property and are invested in providing exceptional conditions for those who visit the fairways at A-Ga-Ming.

There are a number of accommodation options at the resort, offering any group size the ability to stay right on the property for a multi-day golf escape. Maplewood Ridge Condominiums, Cedar Hollow, and the Vista Townhomes capacity range from one bedroom up to four bedroom townhomes. Dining options are also available, including Duffers and the Sundance Brick Oven. For those interested in making A-Ga-Ming home or a destination retreat, resort real estate and rental ownership is available.

Set near the shores of Lake Michigan to the north on U.S. Route 31, Antrim Dells offers what Brown describes as “fair and fun” for each guest. The roughly 10-minute drive from the resort property of A-Ga-Ming makes a 36-hole day trip convenient and accessible. The Sunset Bar and Grill onsite at Antrim Dells is well known for its prime rib special and the whitefish delivered fresh daily from John Cross Fisheries located in Charlevoix.

To complete the 72-hole journey, travel north once more on U.S. 31 to the east side of Charlevoix to arrive at Charlevoix Country Club.  Designed by the late Jerry Matthews, renowned course designer, offers something unique from the past. By today’s standards, the 6,520 yards might not be long, but it is perfect for shot-makers to enjoy. The forward tees are set up at under 5,000 yards and present a great balance for couples golf. Dining at Charlevoix Country Club brings guests to Shanahan’s Pub, where specialties include the Black Pearl salmon, whitefish piccata, and a host of burger options.

A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort also offers special event options across its properties, such as for larger weddings hosted at its Torch Pavilion.
