PETOSKEY – One of Michigan winningest golf professionals ever, Michigan native Jeff Roth, has joined The Boyne Golf Academy team of instructors.
“I have experienced up-close the Boyne golf operation and the Golf Academy over the years, and to now be able to bring my knowledge and experience to help the Boyne guests become better golfers is truly an honor,” Roth said.
Roth, a PGA golf professional since 1979, has served as a head professional for more than 25 years. He has experience in teaching the game and developing a variety of instruction programs for juniors and adults. His knowledge of the golf swing and playing experience makes him a significant addition to the instruction work at Boyne Highlands Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort.
“Jeff has been one of the best players and PGA professionals in the state of Michigan and we have seen his success first-hand with him winning our Tournament of Champions five times,” Bernie Friedrich, Boyne’s vice-president of golf operations said. “He has been a member of our Boyne family for years and now we have a wonderful opportunity to tap his knowledge as an instructor.”
Roth is a member of the Michigan PGA Hall of Fame and the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame. He has won more than 70 professional tournaments, competed in 19 national major championships with the top golfers in the world and won 15 Michigan major championships including multiple Michigan Open and Michigan PGA Professional titles.
